Mediators
Family Mediation is conducted by Stacey Graham or Roger
Graham.
All cases containing a court order stating that the case involves
domestic violence will be mediated by Stacey Graham.
Location and Scheduling
- We only conduct in-person mediations.
- The party requesting our services must provide the facility for the mediation.
- Mediations are only available in the months of June and July and must be scheduled at least three weeks in
advance.
- A contract must be signed within three business days of scheduling the
mediation or the mediation will be stricken from the calendar.
Rates
$100 per hour per side unless a side is indigent.
If a side is indigent, then a court order finding the side indigent
and specifying the payment arrangements must be provided.
Fees and Refunds
- Fees are by side regardless of the number of sides or who pays the
fees. For example, a visitation modification between mother and father is two sides even if father pays the entire bill. A post-divorce visitation modification among mother, father, maternal
grandmother, and paternal grandfather is four sides even if mother pays the entire bill.
- Payment for five hours per side must be made within three business
days of scheduling the mediation or the mediation session will be stricken from the calendar.
- All shortages for in-mediation time and out-of-mediation time must
be paid within two business days after the mediation is finished.
- All refunds of any unused payments will be made within two business
days after the mediation ends.
- No refunds or rescheduling options will be given for any mediation
not canceled at least three business days in advance unless illness of the mediator or illness of a party [Doctor’s note may be requested].
- All outstanding balances will be sent to collection once thirty
calendar days late. All accounts sent to collection will incur the additional expenses of collection costs, including reasonable attorney fees and court costs, and two percent
interest.
Attendees
- The names of all people participating in the mediation must be
provided at least three business days in advance.
- Only the parties directly involved and one attorney per side may be
present during the mediation. For example, in a post-divorce visitation modification between mother and father, no stepparents may be present.
- Unless a minor is directly involved in the mediation, such as in a
minor mother case, no children may be present.
- Any side attempting to have another person present during the
mediation will be an immediate ground to cancel the mediation and no refunds or rescheduling options will be provided. The only exception is in cases where a court order has been provided indicating
that the case involves domestic violence.
FYI
No smoking is permitted. We are not able to accommodate
individuals who are unable to complete mediation without needing a smoke break or who have smoke emanating from their clothes.
*We believe in transparency. While we reserve the right to change our fees
at any time until a contract is signed, we try to keep our fees the same as what we post online. If you notice a discrepancy, please tell us so that we can make things
right.*
